Director of Football Operations Richard McCroan

Coach McCroan is in his eighteenth year in Rowlett. As Director of Football Operations, Coach McCroan serves as the community liaison, helps coordinate summer youth programs, and is Coordinator of Rowlett High School’s “Eagle Partners” community resource program in addition to his duties as Assistant Head Boys Basketball Coach. Coach McCroan also serves on the Board of Directors for the Garland Sports Hall of Fame. Raised in Garland, Texas, Coach McCroan graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1981 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. He teaches Health. Coach McCroan has been married to his wife Tracie, also a teacher in the Garland ISD at Weaver Elementary School, for thirty four years. Their daughter Ashley, 32, graduated from Tarleton State University in May of 2008 and just completed her eighth year as Women’s Athletic Coordinator, Head Volleyball Coach and Physical Education teacher at Coyle Middle School in Rowlett. Ashley is married to Michael Lewis who is a coach and teacher in the Garland ISD at Sam Houston Middle School. Their son Wade, 23, will is a senior at Texas A&M Commerce where he is pursuing a degree in Education and plans on teaching and coaching. The McCroan’s have resided in Trenton, Texas since 2000.
